This recipe hails from the kitchen of the Kolis or the fishermen of Maharashtra region. Hence the name, fish Koliwada was coined. This finger-licking delight is quite popular in the food joints of Mumbai.
I have tasted this delicacy recently in a restaurant ( kebab shop) for Iftar it was so awesome next day searched for it and made it …it was yum..soft inside and crispy outside .So far Iftar is full of meat snacks and continents so far a change why don’t you all try this as I did…
The main ingredient that adds taste is use of ajwain and chaat masala…… It is also prepared as marinating the fish then prepare a batter and fry but I preferred it mixing all and marinating then fry the fish…

Fish koliwada
Fish koliwada is simple mouth watering fry in which fish is marinated in a thick batter and fried.
Instructions
Cut the fish fillets in medium bite sizes.
Marinate the fish with lemon juice, turmeric powder, redchilli powder, ajwain,chaat masala,ginger garlic paste and salt for 10 minutes
Then to this add yoghurt and besan flour ..Add the break flour enough to get well coated to the fish ...
Fry the fish in hot oil until crisp.
Serve hot with sprinkles of chaat masala
